The slip-cast ceramic gives it a lovely handmade weight that feels sturdy in the hand, and the pierced holes do a clean job of catching even fine tea leaves when I pour. I’ve used it every morning for a week now, and it rinses off effortlessly under the tap.

I was a bit nervous about ceramic strainers cracking, but this one feels solid and the pink glaze is even prettier in person. It sits perfectly over my mug and the slip-cast pierced holes let the tea flow through without any leaves slipping out.

The little holes are so evenly pierced, it strains my loose leaf tea perfectly without any grit sneaking through into my cup. It's also genuinely lovely to look at sitting on my mug, like a tiny piece of art that makes my afternoon brew feel special.
