Quick Answer
The Ha' Black Horizon Matcha Bowl is a thoughtfully designed ceramic bowl that blends Japanese tea tradition with modern aesthetics, making it a great choice for both everyday matcha and special tea moments.
Design Philosophy and Build
The Horizon collection, designed by industrial designer Sebastian Bergne, focuses on creating tea ware that encourages shared enjoyment of matcha. The bowl's design is inspired by nature, aiming to connect users with the natural world through its form and finish.
The matte black finish is not just visually striking; it also provides a beautiful contrast to the vibrant green of matcha, making the tea's color pop. This aesthetic choice enhances the overall tea-drinking experience.
Size and Shape Considerations
While the exact dimensions are not specified, the bowl is designed for matcha preparation, which typically requires a wide, shallow shape to allow for whisking. The bowl's form is intended to facilitate the traditional whisking motion, ensuring a smooth and frothy matcha.
If you prefer a deeper bowl for larger servings or a different whisking style, you may want to consider other options. However, the Horizon bowl's shape is optimized for the classic matcha ritual.
